Neal Romanek Guests on Euro Scriptchat on March 11th 2012


Scriptchat will be joined by Neal Romanek, script writer, lecturer and author, to talk about Sequence Structure, as taught to him by Frantisek “Frank” Daniel at USC a model employed by artists as diverse as David Lynch and Milos Foreman.
Neal Romanek is a British-American genre writer living in London.  A graduate of USC’s School Of Cinematic Arts with a degree in Film-TV Production, Neal began his writing career with the option of sci-fi thriller CARNIVAL EARTH by Mario Kassar’s Carolco Pictures. Since then he has written and developed material for a variety of big studio and indy producers, including Lisa Henson, Joel Silver, Mike Newell, and the late Dino Di Laurentiis. He was also involved in the development of the Shakespeare Authorship costume drama, ANONYMOUS and was member of L.A.’s “Alpha 60” indy filmmaking collective.
Neal also lectures about creativity and writing for image media and has been a contributor to such industry magazines as Broadcast, The Hollywood Reporter, International Cinematographers Guild Magazine and Twelvepoint.com
Neal is represented in the US by The Jon Klane Agency and in the UK by the Blake Friedmann Agency. His latest work is a novel, SKIES OF VENUS, a new book in Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Venus-Amtor “sword & planet” saga, written in partnership with the Burroughs estate.
